Circuit Zolder

Overview

European Solar Challenge

The 24 hours European Solar challenge is the only 24 hours endurance race in the world for solar cars, which takes place every 2 years at the former F1 track of Circuit Zolder in Belgium.

Details:  

  • Kicked off by Tinne Van Der Straeten, Belgian Minister of Energy
  • 15-20 solar car teams, representing universities from all over the world
  • 24 hours non-stop
  • Track length of 4.011 km, including 10 challenging corners

Solar innovation seminars - Using solar to tackle the current energy price challenges


Rising energy prices have ensured that renewable energy sources such as solar panels have never been as interesting. However, to get the most out of your investment, it is necessary to optimise your self-consumption.

Saturday September 17th we have the pleasure of welcoming Peter Van Strydonck (representative for partnerships at Fluvius) and Dirk Van Evercooren (General Director ODE) as guest speakers.

Peter Van Strydonck - Fluvius

Join Peter during this session and learn how you can get the maximum from your digital meter.

He will also expand on current themes such as energy sharing, and share his insight on the impact of electrification of the automobile industry on the power grid.

Dirk Van Evercooren - ODE

Join Dirk during the Saturday session as he shares why electric vehicles can have a positive effect on the stability of the power grid, and how they contribute to the green energy transition.
